MSC, MCM demand safe release of L Kamalbabu

Imphal, December 03 2024: Meetei Society Churachandpur (MSC) and Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) in a statement have appealed for immediate release of Laishram Kamalbabu who went missing from an Army camp located at Leimakhong.

A release issued by Meetei Society Churachandpur and Meetei Council Moreh has stated that the inability to trace the whereabouts of Laishram Kamalbabu has made people lose their faith in Central para military force and urged the relevant authority to trace the whereabouts of the missing person.

The MSC and MCM further stated that the recent vandalism on the properties of Ministers/MLA of the State is the result of people's outrage upon hearing the tragic news of gruesome murder of six civilians including children and women at Jiribam.

Therefore the Government must release the persons arrested in this connection without any condition, demanded the MSC and MCM.

Further the MSC and MCM has condemned the recent decision of the Central Government to impose AFSPA in the six police stations of the valley and urged the State Government to send recommendation to the Central Government to revoke the decision.
