Federation of Government College Teachers' Association (FEGOCTA) drew the attention of the Chief Minister and Education Minister to clear college teachers' due SCA and TA for 36 months before Ningol Chakkouba festival.
In a press release, FEGOCTA expressed serious concern over the delay in rectifying a techinical error which has resulted to the non-clearance of SCA and TA of the teachers for long.
At a time when serious efforts are being made in other parts of the globe and country to enhance higher education, it has become questionable the intention of State bureaucrates regarding the issues of Higher Education Department which has only 957 employees.
FEGOCTA also appealed to the Government to entitle UGC pay scale when regular Principals for 25 Government colleges are appointed by MPSC in compliance with the rules and regulations of UGC.
Contrary to other State Government employees, college teachers got arrears under 6th Pay Commission six months late, the press release said.
FEGOCTA also urged the Government to rectify the said mistake as well.
