Imphal, November 01 2024: A Get-Together cum Felicitation Programme of Panmei Kaikhuang (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) was held today at Tarung village, Thangmeiband, Imphal West.

The programme began with the unveiling of a "Monument" by chief guest Janghemlung Panmei, MLA, Tamenglong AC .

It was followed by a welcome & keynote address by Mukengpou Panmei, convenor Organising Committee.

Speaking on the occasion, Janghemlung Panmei said that the ongoing conflict which began on May 3, 2023, cannot be resolved in a day but everyone should work together to find a solution and restore peace & normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.

He lamented that all the communities residing in Manipur have been suffering due to the conflict which has been going on for more than 17 months.

He also claimed that the Government has been working tirelessly to end the conflict, and both officials & unofficial talks have been going on between the Ministers/MLAs of Meetei, Kuki and Naga communities to find a peaceful solution.

The MLA also appealed to all the people of Manipur to show restraint, refrain from any form of violence and come together for a peaceful solution.

A large number of delegates including elected leaders, bureaucrats and other personalities belonging to the Panmei clan from Assam, Manipur and Nagaland participated in the programme.
