Man found strangled to death in CCpur

Imphal, February 01 2013: A man of around 30 years was found strangled to death by unidentified miscreants in an open field at Teisheng village under Churachandpur district yesterday.

The victim has been identified as Seiboi (30), s/o Ngamjang of Sapermeina in Sadar Hills.

The body was found by some locals, who reported it to the police.

Police picked up the body and later deposited the same in the mortuary of Churachandpur District Hospital.

Post mortem of the body was conducted before being handed over to the family members by the police today.

According to police report, Seiboi was suspected to be a member of KNF (Samuel) group.

On the other hand, a slightly decomposed body of a male was found in an open field at Khurai Sajor Leikai in Imphal East district, Manipur on Friday.

The police picked up the body and later brought it to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) where post mortem was conducted following which it was handed over to the family.

The deceased has been identified as Oinam Goroba (31) s/o O Madan of Khurai Chingabam Leikai.

According to his family members, Goroba had gone missing since December 10 night of 2012.He left home after telling his mother that he was going to enjoy a concert that night.

Police said they were still clueless on the nature of the death.
