Imphal, August 31 2015: Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has accused 8 AR personnel posted at Kotlen of picking up vice-chairman of Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF), Andrew Gangmei of Namching Maha Kabui village from near the BRTF camp at Keithelmanbi under Sapermeina PS on Aug 30 around 11am.In a statement, David Kamei, general secretary of ZYF said Andrew has been handed over to Lamphel PS by the AR and he is still at the police station.

The ZYF said Andrew is not related to with any unlawful organisations in whatsoever manner.

His records can be ascertained from the village chief or PS concerned.

The ZYF warned of launching different forms of agitation if the arrested man is not released unconditionally at the earliest.

The ZYF further accused the AR of making an attempt to pick innocent persons namely Gaisinglung Gangmei (40) s/o Lanthaolung Gangmei, Meikinglung Gangmei (45) s/o Gaiphulung, both from Khonglong Kabui village, Makudinang Riamei (55) s/o (L) Khangoulung Riamei.

It also urged the AR personnel to immediately stop unnecessary harassment and psychological intimidation or mental disturbances to innocent persons.
