Imphal, March 31 2012: Troops of 69 Bn CRPF led by second in-command Helal Firoz and officer Deepak Singh carried out cordon and search operation at Khonghampat jungle near State Botanical Garden during which one Chinese hand grenade with detonator and some live rounds have been recovered, informed a statement issued by the CRPF unit.

It is said that the operation was conducted from around 2.15 to 4.30 pm today and involved two sections of the battalion.

The recoveries include three 7.62x39 mm rounds, three 9 mm rounds and one round of 7.65 mm, it said adding that the recovered items have been handed over to police station concerned.
