This is not the first incident involving death caused by licensed gun.
Mention may be made of the December 2018 Naoremthong gun shootout where an SBI Deputy Manager shot dead a youth by his licensed gun.
Also, in another accident happening in November 2020, one former poll candidate shot dead his nephew by a licensed gun over some brawl.
And in another incident, a 35 year old woman was shot to dead in Kakwa Asem Leikai in January 2021.Taking view of such numerous incidents involving licensed guns, it is high time the government take measures while issuing license gun to the public.
If this continues to happen, Manipur will be like Texas where a feud is settled by a gun duel.
