Imphal, December 31 2014 : All Wangjing Women Development Committee, Wangjing has expressed strong concern over the dragging of Wangjing-Tentha MLA P Brojen's name in an alleged rape incident that occurred on June 28 this year.

A meeting of the committee held on Dec 29 at Wangjing Hodamba Community Hall strongly objected the manner in which the MLA's name was dragged in the incident while also terming it very unfortunate.

The meeting, according to a statement of the committee, resolved to demand apology from the victim for embroiling the name of the MLA in the incident.

Convinced that the alleged rape victim was instigated by somebody to tarnish the image of the MLA, the meeting resolved to take stringent action against both the accused and victim who dragged the name of the MLA in the case.
