Governor, CM lead the rest in greetings

The newly appointed Governor of Manipur VK Duggal and Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh have greeted the people of the State on the occasion of New Year, 2014 and expressed hope that the coming year will be much better and more prosperous as compared to all previous years.
In his message, the Governor said, ''New Year is for making new resolutions.
As we enter 2014 let us all resolve to work together for creating harmony and perfect peace in all parts of Manipur during the coming year'' .
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, while extending his warm greetings and best wishes to the people for New Year, 2014, said, ''The New Year gives us an opportunity to make a fresh and renewed beginning to all our resolves to work for the individual as well as collective well-being.
On this joyous occasion, let us resolve collectively to dedicate ourselves to building a peaceful, harmonious and prosperous Manipur'' .
Lok Sabha MP Dr T Meinya and Deputy Chief Minister and President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Gaikhangam have also conveyed their greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of New Year's day celebration.
Meanwhile, extending his greetings to the people, President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba Singh prayed for a peaceful co-existence amongst the different communities and welfare State.
M Worthington, President of BJP, Ukhrul District also greeted the people of the State and said, "May the New Year ushers in a new hope and bring about peace and harmony to the people of Manipur and a sense of awakening and consciousness of rights and duties responsibly in everyone so that people may contribute to world peace and fellowship" .
Greeting the people, Soso Lorho, president of NPF Manipur State wished that with the coming of the New Year, a new chapter and era would prevail among the people of Manipur leaving behind all the past hatred, enmity, ego, jealousy, greediness and all kind of crimes which are detrimental to the growth of human society.
Aam Aadmi Party, Manipur has wished the people of Manipur for a welfare, peace and corruption-free State with the arrival of New Year, 2014 .
Indo Burma Sugnu Road (IBSR) Drivers and Motor Workers Co-operative Society Ltd extended warm greetings to people for a happy and joyous New Year, 2014 and prayed for a peaceful, welfare and prosperous State with the coming of the New Year, 2014 .
Major General Rajeev Chopra, IG AR (South) and all Ranks of Assam Rifles have also extended warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur and wish everyone a very Happy New Year.
IG AR (South) further conveyed his earnest message of peace, harmony, unity and understanding on this joyous occasion.
He wished that all the goodwill should bring us together, irrespective of caste, creed and faith.
"To commemorate the New Year we all must take a resolve to weed out the inimical elements of the society and forge towards the path of unity, peace and prosperity.
May the lord almighty bless us all with joy and happiness and guide us in our endeavors towards building a strong and prosperous nation," the message of the IGAR (S) said.
On the other hand, Prof S.Sekharjit, Director of RIMS has greeted all family members of RIMS, College of Nursing and Dental College on the occasion of New Year's day 2014 .
In his message, the Director underlined the importance and indispensability of every employee and support staff of these three centres of excellent studies.
He said that all the family members should continue to serve with dedication, human touch and compassion so that people from all walks of life continue to get the benefits of the healthcare services here.
We should bury the hatchet of 2013 and should proceed with the pledge to work together in a family atmosphere with sincerity and dedication to upkeep the image of these healthcare centres, the message said.
