Minister Th Shyamkumar while speaking at the "Go To Village" (GTV) camp held at Huikap Awang Leikai Community Hall, Huikap, organised by the District Administration, Imphal East said "The State can achieve rapid development when the Government and the public jointly work for the welfare of the people." He further said the State Government is committed for overall development both in the hills and in the valley.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Shyamkumar said that the GTV initiated under the Chief Minister N Biren Singh has been providing help to many people to avail the benefits and services under the different schemes of the various departments.
He said that GTV has helped people to get benefits and services by maintaining transparency while bringing the departments at the door steps of the people.
Opining that the GTV camp will help in solving people's problem, he said that people should get enrolled in various schemes such as Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) among others.
Advising the people to get thorough knowledge from the department officials, he asked the department officials to give full cooperation to the people and give them detailed information regarding the schemes and programs.
The Minister also planted tree sapling as part of the function.
After attending the GTV camp, Minister Th Shyamkumar inspected the under-construction building of the Huikap High School Boys Hostel which is constructed under the funding of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.
He also addressed the problems faced by the teachers of the Huikap High School.
Speaking to media persons, he informed that the various projects undertaken in the Andro Assembly Constituency which are being constructed under the funding of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India such as Huikap Girls Hostel, Angtha High School, Poirukhonjin High School Boys and Girls Hostel, Moirangpurel Residential High School, Moirangpurel OBC Hostel, PHC Yairipok Keithelmanbi, Kasturba Gandhi Balika High School Hostel are targeted to be finished by the end of this year.
Various camps of GTV were held at Yaiskul, Wangkhei, Heingang and Andro for Imphal East District.
Kamjong: Districts Administration of Kamjong held 'Go To Village' camp at Aishi , a village 5 Km from Myanmar border which covered seven neighboring villages of Kongkan, Lakhan, Kultuk, Phaimal, Moulvailup and Phaikok.
A total of 79 villagers participated while 14 departments delivered various services.
The Medical Department, Community Health Centre (CHC), Kamjong administered medical treatments to the villagers while ADC Member, Samsom Khodang attended the event as Chief Guest and distributed blankets to Village Headmen and ten senior citizens.
The ADC, Ukhrul also presented sports items and white boards to two schools from Aishi and Lakhan.
"The public expressed gratitude to the State Government for doorstep delivery of various Government schemes and also for bringing awareness of many schemes of different departments", said Zuringla K, DC, Kamjong district.
Bishnupur: The District Administration of Bishnupur continued 'Go to Village' mission by opening one more camp at Kumbi Central High School, Kumbi today.
The camp covered Kumbi Municipal Council of Moirang sub-division.
S Bira, MLA Kumbi AC visited the camp along with DLOs from the district administration.
Churachandpur: 'Go to Village' camps were held today at different parts of Churachandpur at Suangdoh and 11 -Lungthul, Singat and 11-Lungthul and Kangvai and 1 -Khousabung covering a total of 36 villages under Churachandpur District Administration.
Camps were opened for Saungdoh and 11-Lungthul at Lungthul (L) which covered 6 villages (Lungthul (L), Kangkap, Sialbu, Chiangpi, Tuilakjang and G Bualjang/TSingtam), for Singat and 11-Lungthul, 9 villages were covered (Bongbal, Hiangdung, Kullian, Panglian, M Lunmual, M Tanglian, SPhaiza, S Zahong and T Kotlian) and whereas for Kangvai, 21 villages were covered (Kangvai, Pengjang, S Kotlian, K Kotlian, Torbung, Matijang, Maichammun, N Zalenphai, K Paolen, Teijang, T Munjang, T Loklaiphai, Phouljang, Phuaisanphai, ZikpiTampak, Leinom, V Kholmun, K Khengjang A, G Khomunnom, T Molsangbung and T Thingjang).
Attending the mission function at Kangvai Community Hall, JC Ramthanga, Principal Secretary (Cooperation & Commissioner, Departmental Enquiry) and Nodal officer of 'Go to Villages' mission for Churachandpur and Pherzawl Districts said the mission's orientation is delivering government services to the people and to bring inclusive development.
Ukhrul: In continuation with the state government's initiative, Ukhrul District Administration has organised its 15th phase of GTV mission at Huining/Halang Village for 5-DCC Huining/Halang, Chingai constituency today.
Various line department were present at the site giving out free sports materials and books for students, free medical check up, medicines, tree saplings etc.
LPG Connection, Domicile, Income Certificates, Pensions forms for widows and old age, Aadhaar card correction, new bank account opening etc.
were among the services delivered.
The camp covered Halang, Paorei and Phungcham village.
Paothing Vashum, member ADC, Dr Harmit Pahuja Singh, DC Ukhrul and Charchit Gaur SDO Ukhrul, were some of the dignitaries present at the site of the camp.
Thoubal: The District Administration,Thoubal organised the 15th phase of 'Go to Village' mission successfully in three different venues of Thoubai district today.
The venues were Phundrei High School under Wangjing-Tentha AC, Khangembam Lampak Community Hall under Thoubai & Khangabok AC and Ningombam Utha Makha Community Hall under Thoubai AC.
Around 30 stalls of different departments were opened to attend the queries of general public.
Spot painting competition for school students were held under the initiative of ZEO Thoubal at the camp venues.
Health check up & Health Cards under CMHT were given to the beneficiaries.
LPG gas connections were also distributed to the beneficiaries under the Ujjwala scheme.
Wangjing-Tentha MLA, P Brojen attended the GTV held at Phundrei High School.
Deputy Commissioner, Thoubai Haobam Rosita made an overall inspections of the camp venues to take stock of the functioning of the 'Go to Village' mission.
Pherzawl: The District Administration of Pherzawl has continued 'Go to Village' mission by opening one more camp at Khongjang village today.
The camp covered 4 villages under Thanlon Sub-Division.
Line department officers issued forms for different programmes and schemes apart from receiving of complaints.
Aadhaar, issuance of various certificates, along with Poshan Campaign were conducted among others with Lamminlal Simte, SDO Thanlon as officer-in-charge of the camp.
The district also observed Global Iodine Deficiency Disorders Prevention Day and conducted Free Health Camp at the venue.
