Imphal, September 29 2024: Please refer to the news item published under the heading "Adopt State policy for children, says MCPCR" on Page 9 of September 29 issue of this paper.

It is hereby clarified that the whole of the 5th para of the news item about the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MPCR) serving a 15-day deadline to adopt the State policy for children should be omitted/excluded in its entirety.

It is hereby clarified that the MCPCR has not served any notice to the Government to adopt the draft State Policy for Children as mentioned in the news.

The 15-day deadline was for inviting suggestions and objections -- mentioned in a Gazette notification issued regarding the draft policy.

The inadvertent error is deeply regretted.
