Minister inaugurates Water Supply Scheme at Rajaimei

Senapati, December 28 2019: Reaching out to villagers of Willong circle under Willong Sub-Division in Senapati District, PHED Minister Losii Dikho met village leaders and inaugurated Rajaimai Water Supply Scheme.

Making his maiden visit to the area, the Minister visited Sangkhumai village and inspected the newly constructed playground with local ADC member Rangpung John.

During his visit, he also met the villagers of Willong Khunou and interacted with the locals, apart from listening to their grievances.

Accompanied by Mao AC leaders, the Minister Dikho in the presence of ADC member Rangpung John and Willong circle village leaders inaugurated the Rajaimei Water Supply Scheme.

At Rajaimei Village, chairman R Rouba acknowledged the rare and honoured visit by a Minister in the village.

"Such visit by the Minister has shown the consideration the State Government has for the people of backward areas", he said and expressed gratitude to ADC member Rangpung for extending all efforts to help the people of a remote village like Rajaimei.

Moderated by L Stephen, women society enthralled the crowd with its traditional folk song.

The ADC member Rangpung thanked the Minister for visiting the area.

He also briefed the difficulties and issues faced by the people of Willong 10-DCC.Addressing the gathering, Dikho expressed happiness over the fruitful utilization of development funds.

Manipur is today a peaceful State by the fact that 2019 festive seasons is most peaceful.

State Government is committed to the peaceful conclusion of the Indo-Naga peace process, he added.

While reminding the NPF principle of "Reaching and Meeting People", he appreciated the developmental activities initiated by ADC member Rangpung in the Willong circle and appealed the public to extend support to such dynamic leaders in the future.

The Minister also announced that the water supply will be reached in every household and extended financial assistance for construction of playground and 2 Churches.
