'National Cyber Security Awareness Month' observed

The MAAMBA (Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association) in co-operation with the Department of IT, Government of Manipur along with Manipur State Information Technology Society, Govt of Manipur today organised a cycle rally as a part of 'National Cyber Security Awareness Month' observation.
The cycle rally was flagged off by N Deben, Director of Information Technology from the Kangla today.
After cycling a total of around 15 Kilometers, the cyclist assembled at the Manipur IT Park at Mantripukhri.
On this occasion, Harikumar, Director MAHUD and CEO of Imphal Smart City deliberated on the benefits of cycling and how Imphal can be developed into a cycle friendly city.
Henry, Head State e-Governance Mission team spoke about the various precautions that needs to be taken up while we are in the cyber space and social media.
N Kamalkanta, vice president of the Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) spoke about the health benefits and about the cyber crimes.
The Director of Information Technology N Deben deliberated on the importance of cyber awareness and how and why we should be take care of our important information and data from Phishing and cyber attacks.
He also thanked all the riders who have come out in large numbers to participate in the awareness campaign.
107 cyclists participated in the awareness cycle ride.
