Rotary Club of Imphal gets new president

Imphal, June 28 2021: Rtn Devkumar Thoudam was sworn in as the new president of Rotary Club of Imphal for the Rotary year 2021-22 along with Rtn Yogesh Jain as secretary and new board of directors during the 49th installation ceremony of board of directors held on virtual mode yesterday.

Rtn Devkumar in his presidential speech said that fund was the most important part to enable the club take up various community based service projects to benefit all, said a statement of the Rotary Club of Imphal.

Devkumar also maintained that the board of directors wanted to set up a corpus fund for the projects and requested all members to contribute to the club, the statement said.

He also made a clarion call, 'Each One, Bring One' to strengthen the membership of the club following the words of Rotary International president, Rtn Shekhar Mehta.

The theme of Rotary International for this year is 'Rotary Serves to Change Lives', the statement said and added that the Rotary Club of Imphal will continue to serve the community to uplift the socio-economic status of the people of the State through various service projects more so during the COVID-19 pandemic.
