Imphal, April 28 2016: The body of an unidentified infant baby (girl) was found lying near Imphal River bank at Awang Potsangbam Khullen today at around 7 am, a press statement issued by the OC, Sekmai police station informed.

The body is presently kept at RIMS morgue for identification and PM examination.

The body is of around 1 month old, 1 feet 10 inches tall, is fat and has a wheatish skin tone with short and black hair.

She was not wearing anything when she was discovered.

The body would be disposed as per law if no claims are made till May 2, the police statement conveyed.
