Imphal, November 27 2011: A man has been killed when the Bolero Jeep (NLO7C/6917) he was travelling met with an accident in between Gwaltabi and Mahadev villages under Litan police station at around 8 am today.

Police sources identified the deceased, a businessman, as 47-year old PV Wungyar s/o Ningchui of Hundung Dungrei village in Ukhrul district.

It is informed that one M Tuishem (46) of Ngaimu village, who was driving the vehicle also sustained serious injuries and currently undergoing treatment at JNIMS Hospital.

Suspected technical snap is being speculated as the major cause of the mishap.

The Bolero Jeep reportedly fell into a 200 feet roadside gorge.
