DBC Maram organises National seminar

The Department of English, Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram organised a two day national seminar on "Post-Colonial Indian Fiction and Social Consciousness with Reference to Northeast Novelists Writing in English" on August 25-26, 2022 .
It was attended by Prof K C Baral, former Professor of India Studies & Pro Vice Chancellor EFLU, Hyderabad, as keynote speaker.
Prof Chanchala K Naik, former Professor of ESL Studies & Dean of ELE, EFLU, Hyderabad and Prof Jano Liegise, HOD, Department of English, Nagaland University also took part in the event as resource persons.
The programme began with the lighting of lamp and invocation by Fr Sebastian Jose SDB, Rector of the college, followed by a heart warming welcome song from the 5th Semester students of the English Department.
Fr (Dr) KO Sebastian SDB, principal of the college warmly welcomed the keynote speaker and resource persons.
Assistant Professors and research scholars from Manipur and Nagaland presented papers on different themes.
The programme concluded with another melodious song from the 3rd Semester English students and vote of thanks by Dr Pukeho Lokho, Assistant Professor of the Department.
The seminar was sponsored by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (MAKAIAS) Kolkata.
