Large turnout at Go To Village Mission camps

Imphal, June 27 2018: The 5th session of the Go To Village Mission was organised at villages across the State.

Here are the highlights of the mission camps held today: .

Bishnupur: The district administration of Bishnupur conducted 3 GTV camps in three different Sub-Divisions.

The camps were organised at Ereima Community Hall, Oinam, Lamjing Ningthou Community Hall, Thinungei and Ngangkhalawai villages.

The camps were opened from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm during which all applicants' data for different Government schemes and programmes were received and registered in the 'Go to Village' portal.

Public grievances redressal stalls were also opened by different departments to address problems of the people, issue and receipt of forms for different schemes in a citizen-friendly manner to provide 'on the spot' solutions for some problems.

Chandel: The GTV Mission for Chandel was held today at Moltuh village, which is about 130 km from capital Imphal.

The village is under Khengjoi Sub-Division of Chandel district.

Braving the highly inclement weather, the District Administration Chandel successful conducted the camp and attended the various grievances of the locals.

Water Resources/YAS Minister Letpao Haokip, Revenue Secretary T Ranjit Singh, Chandel DC Krishna Kumar and Colonel Roy, CO of 28th Rajput Rifles attended the event as dignitaries.

Assistance and benefits of various schemes from different departments were distributed to the villagers.

Department of Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, Medical etc opened their stalls at the mission.

Ujjwala bulbs and LPG cylinder sets were also distributed to selected beneficiaries.

About 1,000 copies of "Go to Village' leaflets in Thadou-Kuki dialect published by DEPR were also distributed at the camp.

Churachandpur: GTV camps were held today at different villages covering 9 District Council Constituencies in Churachandpur under the auspices of Churachandpur district administration.

The camps were held at Santing (L) (17 Villages under 4-Santing DCC), Khousabung (8 Villages under 1-Khousabung DCC), Geljang Community Hall (6 Villages under 22-Haopi Range DCC), Sinzawl (1 Village under 9-Ngazam DCC), Ngurte (5 Villages under 19-Saikot DCC), T Kananphai (22 Machets and villages under 20-Sangang DCC), Sangaikot (29 villages under 21- Sangaikot DCC), N Boljang Community Hall (16 Villages under 14-Tuibong DCC) and Hiangtam (V) (5 Villages under 25-Singngat DCC).

Sports and School materials, agriculture equipment like knapsack sprayer, garbage bags, table and chairs, wheelchairs (for disabled persons), work order for construction of IHHL etc were distributed to selected beneficiaries at the camps by different departments such as Education, Social Welfare, Medical, PHED, PWD, ADCC, Banks etc.

The District Medical Department also conducted immunization and diabetes and hypertension screening camps.

Besides, enrolment camps for availing various schemes including social security were also opened by various departments.

Kakching: District Administration Kakching organised the GTV Mission camps at Haoreima Shambubi Community Hall in Hiranmei under Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat and Pangantabi Market shed under Pangantabi Gram Panchayat.

MLA Hiyanglam AC Dr Radheshyam, DC Kakching Neilenthang Telie, Kakching ZP member-Hiyanglam ZP Constituency Kumari Elangbam Ranjana Devi and Hiyanglam GP Pradhan Elangbam Shantibala Devi attended the event at Hiranmei Community Hall as presidium members.

Kangpokpi: Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister, Nemcha Kipgen today distributed CMHT cards to over 1,000 beneficiaries at the Go To Village camp organised by the District Administration, Kangpokpi at the Haipi community hall, Haipi Village under the Champhai Sub-Division, Kangpokpi.

Stalls of various Government departments were opened to attend to the queries of the villagers.

Benefits distributed at the camp includes Chief Minister Gi Hakshel Tenbang (CMHT) Cards, wheelchairs, water tanks, tractor, Kishan Credit Card loan, sports equipment, free electricity connection under Saubhagya (BPL kit), Free Gas cylinders under PMUY, weaver cards, sprayers, dustbins, antirabies vaccine (ARV), free medicines, fish feeds, amongst others.

School dropouts (Class 1 to 5) were also identified.

Aadhaar seeding, birth certificate, pension schemes, free medical camp, Weaver card/Artisan card, voter enrolment were some of the services provided at the stalls.

The Social Welfare Minister said that the Go to Village Mission is a firm commitment of the Government to directly reach and deliver various Governmental schemes and benefits and services to the poor and needy people at their doorsteps.

Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, Dr Rangitabali Waikhom highlighted the importance of all the line departments in successful implementation of the Government's welfare schemes.

With the coordination of the Social Welfare Department, Health Department and the CAF and PD Department, Chief Minister Gi Hakshel Tenbang (CMHT) cards have been successfully distributed to over 1,003 beneficiaries of the district at a very short span, she said and appealed all the line departments to cooperate and work earnestly for the welfare of the people.

Minister Nemcha along with the DC inspected the stalls opened at the camp.

Chairman ADC, Kangpokpi, Haokholal Hangshing officials of various departments attended the camp.

Tree saplings were also planted by the dignitaries to mark the event.

Noney: The GTV camp at Khumji (Lukhambi) village under Haochong Sub-Division, Longmai was attended by H Worshing, DC Noney, Muhammad Asghar, SDO Haochong and Robert Longjam, SDO Longmai.

19 different departments opened their stalls at the camp.

Senapati: PHED, Printing and Stationery Minister L Dikho attended the Go to Village Mission at Robunamai under Song Song Sub-Division, Senapati District as chief guest while Somorjit Salam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati attended as guest of honour.

The Go to Village Mission is a success, said Minister Dikho appealing the people and officials of the various departments at the camp to cooperate for better services.

Somorjit Salam, IAS, in his guest of honour speech appealed the people to take active participation in the mission.

He highlighted various schemes and benefits of the mission.

Tamenglong: Due to unfavourable weather condition and bad road connectivity the GTV Missions which were scheduled earlier in Tamei area were shifted to Tamenglong and held at Chuiluan (Khongjaron) village and surrounding 10 (Ten) villages of Tamenglong district.

DSWO, MSPDCL, CAF and PD, Forest, Horticulture, Agriculture, PHED, Electricity, UBI Bank, Aadhaar Biometrics, Fishery, DIC, Handloom, Veterinary, Medical, PWD, SDO/BDO/PO, and Labour Department took part in the missions.

The programmes were attended by T Pamei, IAS Nodal Officer, GTV Tamenglong, Ravinder Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong, D Gangmei, CEO, ADC Tamenglong, L Kiran Kumar, ADM Tamenglong, Ningsem Bashum, IPS, SP Tamenglong, Dr Chambo, CMO Tamenglong and officials of other departments.

Thoubal: The GTV missions were conducted in three different places - Moijig High School under Thoubal AC, Lamding Ekop Ningthou Community Hall under Khangabok AC and Ngarouthel Community Hall under Heirok AC.

Education Minister Th Radheshyam, Deputy Commissioner H Rosita attended the function held at Ngarouthel Community Hall.

Stalls of different departments were opened at the camps.
