Youth festival begins

A two day youth music, culture cum sports festival began today at Aimol Tampak Village Play ground in Chandel District.
The programme was jointly organised by Model Adult Education Centre, Aimol Tampak and REACH-M under the theme "encourage the Youths in Music, Culture and Sports" .
The Inaugural Function of the program was graced by Ch Wanoi, Headmaster Kumbirei Primary School as the chief guest; Kh Sumsongir, Chairman Sengvai Tuisorok Kamsakoi Khompui as the guest of honour and Thangpa Aimol, general secretary of Aimol Tribe Union Manipur as the functional president.
During the programme, colourful cultural dances of different tribes were displayed and noted Aimol Tribe's artiste Ngirsua also enthralled the audiences with her songs.
Speaking as the functional president, Thangpa Aimol General Secretary Aimol Tribe Union Manipur said that Peace and Development in the society depends on the youths as they are the pillar of the nation.
So, the role of youth is crucial in the promotion of peace and development.
