Lamka, March 26 2012:
The Kuki National Front (S) today denied any hand in the kidnapping of one Imocha as reported in The Sangai Express with the caption "Abducted man rescued", and claimed that the armed group has adhered to the ambit of the ground rules ever since signing the SoO in August 2008 .
The report that dragged their name was intended to malign the armed group's image, and those involved will not be left unpunished, said a statement signed by Issac, Scey I&PR, KNF (S) .
Reports of Imocha receiving a demand letter of Rs 1 lakh was also a lie and it can be confirmed from him, added the statement.
The outfit does not function as some youth clubs so the police source should also refrain from maligning the organisation without any substantial evidence, state the outfit that also asked for any evidences to be produced in public.
