KWWO embarks on social work

In its endeavour to promote good sanitary habits in the town, Kangpokpi Women's Welfare Organization (KWWO) in collaboration with Kanggui Youth Union organized a mass social work at Community Health Centre, Kangpokpi, reports our correspondent.
The 20-bedded Community Health Centre, Kangpokpi located in the heart of the town is catering the medical needs of the people.
Newly elected KWWO president Kim Hangshing said that the aim of the local women body is to instigate the character of good sanitary habits and healthy living in and around the CHC.
She said that hygiene is one of the basic important factors for early recovery of patients and also a basic prevention measure from various infectious diseases.
The senior Medical Officer in-charge of the CHC has also conveyed sincere gratitude to the womenfolk.
KWWO executives including KYU officials also held a joint meeting with the officials of the CHC in order to improve the functioning of the CHC.
