Imphal, September 25 2019: Terming the present political 'crisis' as a 'wastage of valuable time of the elected leaders' and that it will bring 'nothing prosperous' for the State, Thanlon Assembly Constituency MLA Vungzagin Valte on Wednesday said that he has 'full confidence' in the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, V Valte said that there is 'no possibility' of leadership change.

"...I have been told by some MLAs that there will be change of leadership of the state government.

I tried to confirm from the central leader leaders, but could not.

It has been realized that there is no possibility of leadership change of the State Government as the present Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr N Biren Singh has been chosen as leader of the Party...," V Valte said in a statement released Wednesday.

V Valte also mentioned that Chief Minister N Biren was recognised as one of the best performing BJP Chief Ministers and asserted that economic growth, infrastructure development and 'revenue collection' in the State are remarkable achievements under his (N Biren Singh) leadership.

"It will be at the best interest of the Party and BJP-led Government in Manipur to fully support and cooperate in the leadership of N Biren Singh to make his hand strong to serve the State with more energy," he said.

"I will not act against the present leadership of the Government and direction of the party high command.

The present political crisis is just wastage of the valuable time of the elected leaders and it will bring nothing prosperous for the State," he said.
