Science exhibition for school children held at Jiribam

Jiribam, October 24 2019: The XL District/Zonal Level Science Exhibition for Children 2019 was held at Jiribam Higher Secondary School auditorium hall today.

The science exhibition was organised by Zonal Education Office Science Unit Jiribam under the theme "Science and Technology for Sustainable Development" .

Students of Borobekra Higher Secondary School, Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Lalpani Govt High School participated in the event.

Students showcased different science models such as chemical air purifier, hydraulic bridge, smart dustbin, road made of plastic waste, use of plastic waste for producing fuel and integrated pest management system etc.

Chemical Air Purifier presented by Class X students of Jiribam Higher secondary School, Hydraulic Bridge of Lalpani High School and Smart dustbin of Jiribam Higher Secondary School bagged first, second and third prizes.

N Amarjit Singh, Department of Physics Jiri college, T Raybanta Singh, Department of Chemistry Jiri college and L John Singh, Department of Botany attended the exhibition as judges.
