Imphal, June 24 2021:
Six student bodies have appealed FEGOCTA to ensure that academic activities of the students are not affected by their planned protest slated to start from June 30 .
In a joint statement, KSA, SUK, AMSU, DESAM, MSF and AIMS appealed FEGOCTA to reconsider their decision to resume their stir which may include boycott of classes and exams and also urged the teachers to take the fight to Court and stop putting career of the students on the line.
The student unions also urged the Government to fulfil their assurance to the demands made by FEGOCTA in the interest of the students as students are more than often used as soft target.
The statement also reminded that the failure to conduct first semester and third semester examinations in time during the last academic session was also due to FEGOCTA's strike.
