Imphal, March 24 2018: Prof A Santa Singh, Director of RIMS inaugurated the 8th Annual Conference of MESOCON 2018 today at the Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal.

The conference was organized by the Medical Society, RIMS, Imphal.

During the inaugural function, the Director stressed upon the faculty members the need to present and publish more scientific papers and remain updated through active participation in conferences.

He also encouraged PG students to participate programmes which will prove useful in their career.

He congratulated three prize winners of the PG Award Session which was held earlier on January 27 .

Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam, organizing chairman, Prof Ch Arunkumar Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital attended the event as president and guest of honour respectively.

During the programme a souvenir was also released by the chief guest Prof A Santa Singh.

Dr K Romeo Singh, Associate Professor of RIMS, Imphal gave a presentation on "Alcoholic Liver Disease" and Dr Shailendra Lalwani, Associate Professor of GI Surgery from Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi delivered a lecture on "Liver Transplantation" during the CME.
