3,53,325 job seekers registered till Nov 2017

Imphal, January 24 2018: A total of 3,53,325 applicants including 2,41,832 male and 1,11,493 female were Live-Registered in the different Employment Exchange of Manipur at the end of November, 2017, according to a monthly progress report on the working of State Employment Service, Manipur issued by the Directorate of Employment, Government of Manipur.

The total number of registered job seekers in Imphal West district is 41,226 including 24,770 male and 16,456 female.

Imphal East district has 26,879 (16,175 male and 10,704 female), 25,088 in Thoubal (16,579 male and 8,509 female), 32,481 in Bishnupur (23,631 male and 8,850 female), 82,504 in Churachandpur (59,758 male and 22,746 female), 27,515 in Ukhrul (19281 male and 8,234 female), Senapati 67,436 in Senapati (48,112 male and 19,324 female), 27,772 in Tamenglong (20,643 male and 7,129 female) and 12,006 in Chandel (7,489 male and 4,517 female) respectively.

The number of those registered under Physical/Handicapped and U.E.I & G.B were 2,941 (1,974 male and 967 female) and 7,477 (3,420 male and 4,057 female) respectively.

During the month, 2,258 applicants including 832 female applicants got themselves registered with Employment Exchanges in the State as against 405 applicants of the previous month.
