Many welcome laying of foundation stone of Rani Gaidinliu museum at Longkao

The Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) on behalf of the Zeliangrong people inhabited in the three states of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland lauded the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah for laying the foundation stone of 'Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum' in her native village at Longkao village in Tamenglong district on November 22 through video conferencing.
The union in a press release also thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister, N Biren Singh, Cabinet Ministers of Government of Manipur for their fair decision in choosing the site, Ministry Tribal Affairs, Govt of India for their generous sanction.
The Zeliangrong Organisation Manipur Valley too expressed gratitude to the Union Government for laying the foundation stone for Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in her native village.
The president of the organisation, Meibon Phaomei while speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Namdulong thanked the Chief Minister N Biren Singh for taking the initiative thereby fulfilling the wishes of the people He also prayed that the construction of the said museum may be completed at the earliest.
Also social worker Mathiupuang Gonmei, an ardent admirer of freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu in a press statement extended gratitude to the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, Chief Minister and TD & Hills Minister, Vungzagin Valte for taking the necessary initiative in bringing back the museum to the rightful place.
He also thanked the leaders concerned of RSS, Kalyan Ashram, Heraka, TRC, CSOs and other well wishers for showing solidarity and concerted efforts extended to the said demand of bringing back the museum to the original site.
