Imphal, June 23 2014: Sinam Basu Singh of Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak has been nominated for Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar - 2012 by Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.

The award was introduced by the Akademi in 2006 to recognise and encourage young performing artistes, who are in the age group of 25 to 40 years.

The award, which comprises of a purse money of Rs 25,000, an 'Angavastram' and a plaque, would be conferred on Sinam Basu in a ceremony to be held on August 23, said a press release.

Moirang Hanuba Youth Development Club has congratulated Sinam Basu on achieving the feat.
