Imphal, April 23 2017: 'LeTz pAiNt tHe EaRtH gReEn,' a Facebook group of young professionals working in diverse fields, conducted a community based plantation programme in and around Ima Khunthokhanbi Complex at Thangmeiband today.

The young and energetic members of the group teamed up with Ima Ibemma Khunthokhanbi Thougal Marup (IIKTM), a local body in Imphal to conduct memorable plantation programme as part of the Khongjom Day observation.

"Traditionally, all the Laibungs are protected in our society, so we took up this initiative with the permission of IIKTM so that the flowering plants which were planted today will survive and help in keeping the surrounding clean and green.

We also appreciate the active participation of our esteemed members and flower plant contributors," one of the admintrators of the group said.

The key flower plant contributors are in today's programme are NK Nursery Kongba, KJ Nursery Singja mei, Genesis Nursey Langtha bal, Leiyum Nursery Naga mapal, Premila, Sujata, Pinky, Dolly, Prince, Doreen, Narjit, Viciwon, Cecilia, Jagajit, Donny, Birjeet.

Today's event is the fifth plantation programme to be take up since its maiden plantation drive at Tumuyon Khullen (Senapati) on June 4 last year.
