Imphal, December 22 2021: Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) Imphal East District Committee and Chongabi Development & Relief Organisation jointly conducted a discussion session today on the topic of "Nishana Khunaida Piba Cheitheng Amasung Masibu Thingbada Meeyam Gi Thoudang" at Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai Chongabi Committee Hall, Imphal East.

The discussion session was attended by Soram (O) Tamna, vice president CADA Imphal east District Committee; Athokpam Manglem, president Chongabi Development & Relief Organisation and Ningthoujam Doren, vice president CADA as presidium members while Dipanjit Ningthoujam, vice president CADA attended as resource person.

Addressing the gathering, Ningthoujam Dipanjit stated that the use of illicit substances has increased significantly with the approach of the State Assembly election and attributed the uptick in election related violence to this scourge.

Ningthoujam Doren remarked that in order to combat the problem of drugs and other illicit substances there is a need for clubs across various localities and meira paibis to come together and spread awareness.
