182 Bn BSF distributes essential items

Imphal, November 22 2021:
As part of the Civic Action Programme, 182 Battalion Border Security Force, Koirengei under the aegis of Headquarters BSF CI (Ops) Manipur distributed essential items at Carmel Jyoti Orphanage Home, Moirangpurel and Maphou Kuki village.
The battalion provided water purifier system (RO), water storage tank and buckets to Carmel Jyoti Orphanage Home; street lights with accessories to Phuramakhong and Maphou Kuki village; computer with work station, printer and UPS to Tumukhong, Moirangpurel Khunou Leikai and Oksu village; profile sheets and steel tubes to Nongdam Kuki village; water supply pipes to Thangchingpokpi village and Nongdam Tangkhul village, said a release issued by 182 Bn BSF.

The essential items were handed over to Thasana Leima, member of Moirangpurel village; Lunkholal, chief of Maphou Kuki village; Asharani Devi, member of Tumukhong village; Solomon Jojo, chief of Thangchingpokpi; Jangkholun Lupheng, chief of Nongdam Kuki village; Wungreiso Jojo, chief of Nongdam Tangkhul village and M Bilashini, member of Oksu village in the presence of villagers and troops of 182 Bn BSF.
Speaking on the occasion, Bipin Kumar, Commandant BSF expressed his joy in getting the opportunity to help the needy and assured that the battalion would continue to serve the people in the future.
The village chiefs, members, and clubs expressed their gratitude to the BSF for its initiative towards the welfare and security of the villagers.
