Imphal, September 22 2013: Bosco Mangaal organised a five-day residential cultural exchange cum skill training programme from September 17 to 21 at Bosco Mangaal Training Centre, Ngarian.

The programme was mainly organised for regular students who are studying in classes IX and X to make them aware about the culture of Manipur and also to make them understand the essence of peace and team building, said a press release.

Students from Sangai Higher Secondary School, Don Bosco, Phayeng, Kiddies Corner, Leishemba Maheikol, Friendship Educational Academy and Brajalal Institute of Science took part at the programme.

As part of peace building process, International Peace Day was also observed on September 21.Three non-formal schools - Keirao Wangkhem Centre, Ngarian Muslim Centre and Andro Laupouchum Centre took part in the said programme.

Popular actor-singer H Sadananda and Bosco Mangaal Youth Consultant Dinesh spoke at the programme as special guests.

SpicMacay Imphal Chapter President Dr W Ibomcha spoke on the topic, 'Culture our heritage in the context of Meitei traditions.
