COVID-19 awareness programme held at Thanga

Imphal, August 22 2020: Peoples' Task Force for COVID-19 (PTFC-19) in association with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch and United Clubs of Thanga today organised an awareness programme on COVID-19 at Ngaram Community Hall, Thanga today.

The programme held as a part of the continuous drive to sensitise people about COVID-19 was attended by O Maipakchao, president of United Clubs of Thanga; Jadu, vice president of IRCS Imphal West; O Nabakumar, executive member of IRSC, Bishnupur and M Angamba, co-convenor of PTFC-19 as presidium members."The programme saw dignitaries giving details of what the COVID-19 is and how to tackle it effectively, said a statement of PTFC-19 .

The importance of use of face masks, maintenance of physical distancing and regular sanitization of hands, was also stressed on the occasion, it said.

The programme also discussed suitable activities that could help students who have been unable to attend school for more than 5 months due COVID-19 outbreak, it said.

Similar programmes were also organised at Keithelmanbi community hall; Keishampat Keisham Leikai community hall, the statement said while adding the same campaign will be continued at various locations across the State.
