KNF extends helping hands to Govt amid COVID-19 crisis

Kangpokpi, June 22 2020:
The mother organization of the Kuki militant outfits, Kuki National Front (KNF), an SoO signatory and an entity of the tripartite talks with the Governments, extended helping hands to the Government officials and CSOs manning Institutional Quarantine Centres (IQC) in Kangpokpi district.
According to KSO Sadar Hills, the gen secy of KNF, Aaron Kipgen, also the convener of the United People's Front (UPF), handed over truckloads of firewood a few days back which were later handed over to the concerned authority for use at the centralized kitchens where catering for inmates of IQCs are taken up.
Also, during its raising day ceremony on May 18, the KNF leaders decided to extend all possible helps to the Govt, district administration and frontline workers.
KSO Sadar Hills president, Thangminlen Kipgen said that the truckloads of firewood were accordingly handed over to Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC), the centralized kitchen for various IQCs within Kangpokpi DHQs and its surrounding areas while a truckload each of firewood were also handed over to SDO Saitu and Baptist English High School, Motbung for IQCs within Motbung areas.
While appreciating and extending gratitude to the organization for their humanitarian service, the student body also exhorted collective contribution towards containing the pandemic in the district.
Meanwhile, KSO Sadar Hills also provided 2 bags of rice and other essential items to the village authority of Tumnoupokpi through Meiduipa S, president, Thangal Students' Union as helping hands towards the people of Tumnoupokpi.
