MSSA suspends its cease work strike

Imphal, December 21 2011:
Owing to an amicable solution being arrived at between the Manipur Secretariat Services Association (MSSA) and the state government, the Association has suspended its cease work strike which was launched since December 13 last.
The MSSA with its President, Th Mohindro and Secretary Purunjit had a meeting with the Chief Minister which went for about 6 hours where an amicable solution was brought.
Regarding the suspension of the cease work strike, the President of MSSA has also issued a notice.
The notice stated that an understanding have been arrived at with the sole initiative of Minister GAD and the MSSA on December 20 and some of the demands have been implemented.
As such the cease work strike has been suspended with immediate effect.
It also requested all members of MSSA to resume their normal duties and put in more efforts to clear pending works.
