Jiri organisations demand

Jiribam (Imphal East), May 21 2015 : Jiri Louri Khongthang Lup, Jiribam (JLKL), Jiri Nupi Marup, Jiribam, Women Welfare Organisation Kangleipak (WWOK), Jiri Masha Loishang held a joint meeting with regard to the construction of additional classrooms in 14 SSA schools in Jiribam, reports Jiri News Network.

Funds were sanctioned in instalment basis by the School Management Committee for the purpose of building additional classrooms in SSA schools.

An altercation broke out during the withdrawal of the second instalment fund.

Accusing ZEO Jiribam, L Ranjit Kumar of abstaining from his duties at such a crucial situation, the organisations demanded immediate termination of the ZEO.

Speaking to reporters, JLKL general secretary Ch Priyokumar Singh stated that a meeting was held between the ZEO and the three organisations wherein it agreed not to withdraw all the allotted fund at a time.

However, Jiribam ZEO L Ranjit permitted 5 schools to withdraw the fund.

Adding that L Ranjit is currently on leave and has failed to deliver his duties, JLKL general secretary demanded befitting action against the ZEO.
