Meeyamgi Numit held at Noney, Thoubal

Noney/Thoubal, January 21 2025:
The District Administration, Noney organised Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) at the Multipurpose Hall of Noney District Headquarter today.
To address the grievances and for smooth interaction of the general public and with the Government Department, a total number of 18 stalls of various departments were set up.
At the event, stalls of departments like Police, PHED, SDO Haochong, SDO Noney, Veterinary, Medical, Forest, MSRLM, Cooperative, Agriculture, Fishery, DIC Noney, OSC Noney, Education, Horticulture & Soil Conservation and Handloom & Textiles were set up to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public.
Noney DC, Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju inspected the stalls before commencing the programme.
During the event, the Agriculture Department distributed twenty (20) micro fertilizer bottles to 15 beneficiaries through Noney DC, Sharath Chandra Arroju, IAS, in the presence of Noney ADM, Stiff Khapudang and Noney SP, N Peter Kamei and other DLOs.
As part of the event, the Social Welfare Department under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India also launched a mass signature campaign against drugs, "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" .
Thoubal
District Administration, Thoubal also organised Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) at the relief camp opened in District Sports Complex, Wangjing Kodompokpi, Thoubal district.
The event was held to address the grievances and voices of the IDPs.
During the event, stalls of Health, Education, Panchayat Raj, Social Welfare, PHED, MSPDCL, CAF & PD and others were set up to cater to the various demands and grievances of the IDPs.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash (LAS), Deputy Commissioner, Kakching, Ruhit Anand (IAS), ADM Thoubal, B Lokeshwar Sharma along with officials and staff of various departments.
Internally displaced persons (IDP) staying at the relief camp were able to access essential services, schemes and seek solutions to various issues.
One of the inmates who benefitted from the camp expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister N Biren, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, officials and staff for providing a platform to the IDP to address their grievances.
He also appealed to the Government to restore normalcy in the State, and make necessary arrangements to resettle the IDPs at their original homes.
