DBC Maram students at Oinam hill village

A one week long 'Rural camp' organized by the Department of Social Work, DBC Maram has kicked off today at Oinam hill community hall, reports our correspondent.
Village chief Puh Raoping hoisted the flag as part of the inaugural session.
The HoD of BSW, Don Bosco College, Maram exposed the theme of rural camp "Reaching the Unreached" on behalf of the campers.
Moses Rong, on behalf of the village, expressed heartfelt gratitude for organising the camp at the village.
He also said that the villagers will extend co-operation to ensure the camp concludes successfully.
Saplings were planted along the road sides in commemoration of Bluebird Operation 1987 .
On the same day, the campers visited Oinam Hill Government High School to organise the first children parliament in the district, which was introduced by Bijoy KR Bosumatary, Asst Professor of Social Work, Don Bosco College, Maram.
