Aid continues to pour in for Chassad fire victims

Imphal, March 19 2020:
Mami Thawan Foundation and Maion Society , as part of its share and care initiative, donated clothes to fire victims of Chassad village today.
Over 6000 clothes were presented for the victims through Tribal Youth Club (TYC) in New Lambulane.
Mami Thawan Foundation chairman Romi Meitei, while speaking to media persons, termed the incident unfortunate and appealed all the people to refrain such tragedies in the future by cooperating with one another and living peacefully.
He urged all to extend all possible aid to the victims.
TYC general secretary Jim conveyed that such initiative will help strengthen the hill-valley relation.
On the other hand, ex-Chief Minister of Mizoram and Mizoram Pradesh Congress president Lal Thanhawla strongly condemned the torching of houses in Chassad village on a land dispute.
He expressed hope that the authorities concerned will make sure that such tragedies are not repeated in the near future.
Extending solidarity to the grief stricken villagers of chassad, Lal Thanhawla along with president of MPYCC Lalmalsawma Ngaka dispatched a truck load of food and other supplies for the affected villagers through Manipur Group, YMA.
