Imphal, December 18 2015 : The Govenor of Manipur V Shanmuganathan has been holding interactions with different sections of the people of Manipur and people belonging to different fields at the Raj Bhavan, Imphal.

It is part of an initiative taken by him to gain first-hand knowledge of the rich traditions and culture of the State.

The first step in this direction was taken on October 27 when he met the senior citizens of Imphal and interacted on various social issues.

The second such interaction took place on December 12 with Church leaders such as Archbishop, Fathers of Mission schools and Churches in the State.

Furthering the initiative, the Governor interacted with prominent artistes/musicians of the State on December 17 and appreciated their activities for keeping the rich traditions alive.

He also interacted with Principals of 28 State Govt colleges today and advised them to mould the students to become good citizens of the country, according to a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
