Death anniversary observed

Noney, August 18 2018: The 6th death anniversary of Chunthuigai Kamei, State Secy of ZSUM was observed at his monolith site at Longmai yesterday.

The program was attended by convenor ZSULA Joy Kamei as moderator while welcome address was given by Alunbou Newmai, Chairman ZUSM.

Families, different organisations paid floral tributes to the departed soul of Chunthuigai Kamei and observed a two minutes silent prayer.

A Gospel short sharing was presented by Pastor, CP Soihiam, Chairman LACF.

Kachangthai Gonmei, executive member, Zeliangrong Films Forum & Films Director cum artist also took part in the ceremony and presented patriotic song dedicated to Late Chunthuigai Kamei.

Meanwhile, a commemoration speech was delivered by Pamei Tingenlung, former president, AZSU (AMN), Longmai Area Villages leaders and other organization leaders.

Former president Pamei, while speaking on the occasion, recalled that Late Chunthuigai Kamei was a person who struggled a lot for the welfare of the Zeliangrong community & Nagas as well.

"He was very sincere and dedicated in his duties and did not retreat until his mission is successful", Pamei said while adding that the younger generation and the present leaders should pick up valuable lesson from his work.

Late Chunthuigai Kamei was found shot dead on August 17 at Longkao village.
