National Flag hoisted at Base Camp Dzukou valley

Senapati, August 17 2021:
For the first time the Indian National Flag was hoisted at base camp Dzukou valley under Senapati district during 75th Indian Independence day on Sunday.
On the occasion, the joint security personnel posted at the base camp which includes Manipur Rifles, IRB and Manipur Police gave a befitting guard of honour to the Indian Tricolor.
It may be mentioned that to contain the fire broke at Dzukou valley on Nagaland's side on December 29 and later spread towards the hills of the Manipur of Senapati district, on emergency condition the State government constructed approach road and set up Dzukou base camp under Senapati district Manipur.
It may be mentioned that 6 officers from the district were awarded the Chief Minister's award on the occasion of 75th Independence Day held at 1st MR ground Imphal in regard to initiative taken up during Dzukou wildfire, development of approach road to the Dziiou valley base camp.
Awarded persons includes former DC Senapati Th Kirankumar, SP Senapati M Pradip Singh, ADM Senapati A Adahrii Maheo , SDO Song song Duna Duo, SDO Willong S Lunguiba Than Gal and DFO Senapati John Sha.
