Bishnupur, January 17 2021: MLA of Moifang Assembly Constituency, P Saratchandra as apart of distributing looms to the beneficiaries under Loom Upgradation Scheme 2019-20, has also extended GI sheets to BPL families, knapsack sprayers to farmers in many localities.

Earlier in the first phase, 54 beneficiaries were handed over looms under the Loom Upgradation scheme while 14 beneficiaries from Naranseina, Kwakta, Moirang, khudekpi Thamnapokpi and Ngangkhalawai were reached out with the same item today.

7 households were on the other hand distributed with one bundle each of GI sheets under MLA Local Area Development fund today.

Besides this, knapsack sprayers were distributed to 67 farmers under the Economic Social Development Programme scheme.

During the function which was held at the residence of the MLA at Moirang Phairembam Leikai, the MLA urged all to take benefits of schemes meant for welfare of the people and make the Assembly segment a progressive one.

Beneficiaries who are yet to receive aid or assistance will be reached out in a phased manner, he assured.
