Imphal, October 16 2015 : A PDS beneficiary of Wangjing Tentha AC has drawn the attention of the MLA concerned to the matter of denial of PDS item by the agent concerned.

Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, Kongbam (o) Manitombi of Wangjing Hodamba said that she was denied her PDS kerosene share by Ward No 9 PDS agent Adhikarimayum Sanjoy Bihari on October 12 .

When queried why she was not given her share, Sanjoy Bihari told her that Tentha Women Election Committee had instructed him to do so, Manitombi said.

Later, Sanjoy Bihari also told Manitombi that the committee asked him not to give her kerosene share as she took part in a function of Hijam Irabot organised by CPI at Wangjing Hodamba community hall on September 18 .

Manitombi further said that she talked to other members of the committee regarding the member.

Later, she came to know that the instruction was given by committee secretary Somola, Manitombi said.

She urged the MLA of the AC to look into the matter.
