Case of Babysana's death : CBI submits monthly report

Central Bureau of Investigation Special" Crime Branch Kolkata submitted their monthly report on the investigation of the 'mysterious death' of N Babysana to the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West.
The monthly report cover the period November 10 to December 3 .
N Babysana was found hung to death in the hostel of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School Canchipur on July 18 last year.
The submitted investigation report mentioned that in compliance with the direction passed by the High Court of Manipur on November 6 last year a regular case was registered by CBI SCB Kolkata on December 4 last year under Section 305, 34 IPC and Section 75 of Juvenile and Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act against the authorities of Standard Robarth residential block, girl hostel and others by taking the FIR at Singjamei Police Station as an original FIR of the case.
The submitted report algo mentioned that during the period statement of some witnesses including Ph Khamba president of the Trust Deed of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Trustee Longjam Suranjoy, Trustee Ph Romibal, brother, stepmother and uncle of the deceased were examined.
It is further submitted that five Wardens of the residential school and academic administrator including Nongmaithem Jinnty Devi and Kamei Illen who were earlier arrested in connection with the case were also examined and their statement recorded.
Statements of Premica Devi, mother of N Babysana; Khumbongmayum Premkumar maternal uncle of N Babysana and eight more non-teaching staff were also examined and recorded by the CBI team, mentioned the investigation report.
It is also mentioned that during the period a prayer was made before the same Court to open the seals on the Mini DV Digital cassettes for making copies to produce before the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology AIIMS New Delhi.
The Court on perusal of the submitted monthly progress of the investigation report found satisfaction with the progress made in the interrogation so far and directed the 10 of the case to further investigate and submit the report as early as possible.
