Students lead rallies, form human chain demanding protection of State integrity

Continuing the alert meetings and rallies under Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity, students, locals, Meira Paibis, clubs and many civil society organisations staged various forms of protest across districts today strengthening their call for protection of State's integrity and interest.
Thoubal: Ningsing Lup Tekcham along with Meira Paibis and clubs organised sit-in protest and rally with clothes gagging their mouths to protest Govt not hearing people's voice.
The rally started from the office of Ningsing Lup and reached places in Tekcham.
Speaking on the sideline of the protest, social worker Laishram Subachandra said that there was not a single day of peace in the State in the last 70 years.

Blaming the undisclosed agreement as a major reason for the flare ups in the State, he said that the bond of love between the more than 36 communities are being 'threatened' .
India Government and all participating in the Naga peace talks should understand the aspiration of the people of manipur and avoid any provisions that may affect the State's integrity and interest, he said.
Women'S Wing of KADASU, Khangabok also staged alert meeting at Khangabok bazar.
The protesters denounced the State Government's planned Sangai Festival.
Kakching: Students at Langmeidong also staged protest and formed human chain demanding protection of State's integrity.
Students of different schools in Langmeidong area joined the protest organised by United Peoples Administrative Council (UPACO) Manipur alongwith school authorities under COCOMI.
Students of Langmeidong Higher Secondary School, Iramdam Maheikol (IMA), ANK English Academy and H Keinahal Memorial English School, Langmeidong took part in the protest.
Bishnupur: Protests were staged at Bishnupur and Moirang areas today.
Bishnupur Block Congress Committee, Bishnupur Block Mahila Congress Bishnupur and Bishnupur Assembly Youth Congress Committee organised protest at Bishnupur bazar with Meira Paibs.
Members of Apunba Meira Paibis of Bishnupur, Kwasiphai, Joypur Khunou, Lumlangdong Apunba Nupi Lup, Lumlangdong Keithel Development Committee, Apunba Nupi Lup (Anul) Bishnupur and Keithel Chaokhat Lup Bishnupur took part in the protest.
Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) Asst Co-ordinator Ng Deva spoke at the alert meeting and raised various issues pertaining to the Naga peace process.
Supporting COCOMI, Joint Committee for Manipur Integrity Moirang sub-division organised alert meetings at Moirang College gate.
Meira rally was also held by Kabui womenfolk and locals of Nambol yesterday.
The Meira rally started from Nambol Sabal Leikai Community Hall and reached Nambol Keithel and other places.
Slogans to save Manipur's integrity were raised.
