Imphal, June 14 2011: Two UGs, one KYKL and a KCP (MTF), were arrested by the police commandos from different parts of the state in the last two days.

The KYKL activist identified as Thokchom Raghunat @ Birjit Singh (21) son of late Th Kesho Singh of Ningthou Leikai Thokchom Pareng was arrested by a team of Thoubal poli ce commandos in joint operation with No.1/2 CT/IS Det ECCIU today at Kairembikhok.

A 9mm pistol loaded with two live rounds was recovered from him, a statement of the additional Thoubal SP claims adding that on verification police revealed that the individual is an active member of KYKL having Army no.423 of 25th batch who got basic training at Tunal (Burma) in 2007 .

A team of Imphal East police commandos arrested the KCP (MTF) activist, Yumnam Naoton @ Premkumar @ Barun (23) son of Y Muhindro of Nongada Awang Leikai from Lamlai area yesterday around 8.30 am.

He joined the group in November 2010 through one Santosh of Thamnapokpi of the same group and involved in extortion of money from general public, government officials, businessmen etc.
