Two students go missing, another man untraceable

Imphal, December 13, 2012:
Two school going children and another man have gone missing from their respective homes since the month of November last.
The two missing school going children have been identified as Soibam Suijakanta alias Angou (12) s/o S Somen of Mirembam Awang Leikai and fhokchom Birjit alias Bablu (13) s/o Th Kumar of Tharoijam Maning Leikai.
A student of class VII in Pari Imom Sindam Sang, Langjing, Soibam Suijakanta went missing from his home since November 28 after he went out in the evening to play football while Thokchom Birjit, who is reading in class VIII in Pole Star Public School, Patsoi has been missing after he went out from home in the morning of November 29.One person who is believed to have taken the students has also been absconding since their disappearances.
He has been identified as Khoirom Tokio (22), s/o Kh Budhichandra of Tharoijam Maning Leikai.
According to family members of Birjit, he called up home on December 2 and said that they are in Burma and are very tired.
He also asked the family members to take them home.
During the course of the conversation, the mobile phone got disconnected and the number has remained switch off ever since.
Meanwhile, a sit-in protest demonstration was staged at Yurembam Awang Leikai today demanding safe release of the missing boys.
On the other hand, another person identified as Oinam Goroba (35) s/o 0 Madan alias of Khurai Kongpal has been reportedly remained traceless since November 10.He is said to be last seen in the evening of November 10 when he went out from home at around 7 pm.
Family members have lodged a missing report with the Porompat Police Station.
It is not known whether he has been picked up security forces or abducted by armed miscreants.
A sit-in-protest was also staged by the locals at Khurai Kongpal today in this connection.
