Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) Foundation Day at Jiribam

Jiribam, October 13 2012: The 14th Foundation Day celebration of Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) cum Debate competition was organised at Jiribam Hr Sec School, Jiribam under the aegis of MSF Special branch, Jiri.

The occasion was graced by L Shantikumar Singh, President of AJUCA; E Malemnganba Meetei, president of MSF, Special Branch and M Shyamkumar Singh, ex-president of MSF Special Branch as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Giving the keynote address, general secretary of MSF, Special Branch, M Kamal Singh recalled the history of MSF and threw lights on the background of its formation days.

Speaking as the chief guest, Malemnganba exhorted the students to lead exemplary life for the future generations while also stressing on the role of students in shaping the society.

A debating competition was also held in connection with the foundation day.

Altogether, 23 competitors representing various educational institutions, clubs and organisations of the area took part in the debating competition.

H Prem Singh of EYC Chandrapur; E Lamjingbi Devi of Jiri Hr Sec School and H Joyshree Devi of Meiri Club, Lakhipur were declared the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position winners respectively.

Seven competitors were also presented the consolation prize.
