AZACO calls for sustainable solution, restoration of peace in State

Imphal, September 13 2024: Expressing dismay over the present conflict which has posed a serious threat to the bond of brotherhood and harmony among the communities residing in the State, All Zeliangrong Arts & Culture Organisation (AZACO), Manipur has appealed to the State and Central Governments to take immediate action to restore peace & normalcy in the State.

In a release, AZACO said that the conflict which began on May 3, 2023, has led to the irreparable loss of many precious lives and properties, and left thousands displaced forcing them to take shelter in relief camps opened across the State.

AZACO appealed to the Government and all stakeholders to work together to find a sustainable solution based on the history of Manipur to end the prolonged conflict and restore peace & harmony in the State.

AZACO also appealed to all the intellectuals, scholars and organisations of Manipur to deliberate on the impact of the violence on innocent lives and ways to end the prolonged conflict.
